Ok so like other bass heads out there im always on a quest to find songs that beat crazy hard on subs. there's the classics and then there are the ones not too many people have heard of. Post a list of a few or a lot of songs that sound great on your subs! remember- never pirate music!
Also if you have some an audio setup that hits the lows real nice, you can use Virtual DJ to slow down the songs and re-record the slowed version in up to 320kb/s. works fantastically

Gotta love how they only interview the retards... and take a line off of sonys website? Out of all car stereo companies you choose sony? They need lines like that to sell their ish at wal-mart... :/ Idiots like them give car audio "entusiasts" a terrible name... It's a hobby, not an act of terrorism, damn.

I went and saw Pink Floyd the year they released "The Dark Side of the Moon" (remember the "heartbeat?")
They had huge stacks of bass bins on the stage, like most bands, then we noticed they had arrays to either side of the audience seats as well. I thought, this is going to be too loud, let's move to the back. Went further back and sat down and.... yup, there were speaker boxes on the back wall, too. 4-channel quad surround sound. They recorded some of the best bass at that time.
For bass from that era, also like Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, Jan Hammer, Jo Jo Gunne, Spirit, Cat Stevens (for acoustic bass), BTO.
Most of that on vinyl will knock you out of your chair, too.... ah, the good old days.

Why all hip hop? Honestly hardcore hits harder than anything I've put in my system. Today my most favorite song was It Dwells in Me by All That Remains. Had some old guy shoveling snow on the sidewalk shaking his head. Not to mention I passed a cop sitting at the school look up at me from a block away. Nothin better then a shitload of double bass.

i have yet to see a metal song apart from that one drum that hits anything below 40hz
I don't care. You got double bass and That's all That matters. Get a song that is extremely heavy with loads of continuous double bass and you'll get some attention. Today for me it was up against the ropes by august burns red.

my box doesnt do the higher notes too well so only a few select metal songs are actually loud on the sub. some double bass lines are almost laughable because it cant even pretend to play them right

Hip hop has 50hz and lower bass hits. Really, anyone can do it... It just fits better in Hip hop.
For those who want to know how it's done...
All it takes is a oscillator and a gate. Set the key on the gate to take the kick track, then set the oscillator to be the input. and that is how you get the 50hz and below punch. :)

Most of you want to stay with the songs that are in the 45 and up range. If you know what 30Hz feels like, the lower songs can do you good. :)

A few of my favorites to get decent bass out of are:
Go Getta Remix - U.S.D.A. (good beat)
My Block Pumpin' - Lil Wayne (Hits pretty low in my opinion, but my amp isn't tuned too low)
YM Salute - Lil Wayne
Let My Beat Pound - T.I. (as listed before)
You're a Jerk - New Boyz (gets annoying but good bass)
Do It Big - Soulja Boy (good beat)
Nothin' - Tech N9ne Collabos
Get Silly - V.I.C.
Take Your Shirt Off - T-Pain
Just my two cents on the ones that sound good in my car.

Just google search the song and put "instrumental" after it. I'm sure downloading torrents is frowned upon, but that's your best bet. That's how I get all of the instrumentals I want. I can make instrumentals through audacity but it's very time consuming to get them to sound "right."
