What would be the best brand for an ECT sensor for the 2000 2.4L? Tried searching, nothing.

Delco would be best, but any work

Dude it's a friggen ECT, get it from AutoZone or whatever. It's not rocket science or a performance part that has specifications different from each other. It's not like a different brand coolant temperature sensor is going to change anything in the way it operates.

Regardless it's still something going into the car. I'd rather have a good brand get the job done right the first time. I just went and got a duralast one with 2 yr warranty. I left the house at 8:38 cuz they close at 9:00. I hate people who drive 40 in a 55, but I still got there at 8:46 :p . Let's hope that this solves the problem, otherwise next is the idle control valve

Yep it's made by Wells, which is great. Duralast is just a store name we put on stuff.

Depends on what you get and who it's actually made by.

Changed the ETC and the car starts up fine it doesn't go up to 2k rpm anymore like it used to its back to normal, but unless i give it gas on the start it drops to 0 rpms and dies out.

Guess its on to the IAC sensor like I said before. Unless its just something simple, like I wanted to change the plugs, clean out the intake, get new air filter in the spring but this damn weather won't go away.
