Well, my uncle picked up this beauty towards the end of summer for a nice restorarion project, he has wanted one for years. We've talked about it quite a bit, and I recieved a call from him this morning with some news. I will be on a $500.00 budget for the audio. Basically, what he wants me to get is a set of components for the front, and a set of 10"s behind the seat. The body of the car is going to be gone over quite a bit, he's also rebuilding the motor, and he put me in charge of the beats! Basically whatever i do not spend out of the $500, he is giving me. Although, i don't expect to keep much. basically, what i am doing is opening up the floor to you guys for some suggestions on some good components, crossovers, amplifiers you may know of as i am not the most familiar with this part of audio. Though, i should have the subwoofer part of it covered. Thanks guys!

i dont think $500 is going to buy you much. my 5.25" components up front were $250 alone. but i got that at a retail store. get some qoutes from ryan for amercian bass products, everyone seems like that them

I understand that to a point. I know 110% i can get my hands on a decent set of components for less than $250.00. I don't really plan on going to a reatailer for any of this or i know $1500.00 won't be enough... lol. I'm just looking on suggestions for good products, something anyone has had luck with that won't cost me a grand to make a little fiberglass car make some noise. :)

You could toss in a set of 6.5 Coaxials, a 12" DX sub and a SQ475 amplifier, 4 Ga wiring...
$300
Then you would just need a HU.

Pioneer, Kenwood and JVC have good ones for under 100.

^under 100 is gonna be a bs radio. if he can get the speakers for about $300, spend all the rest on the best HU u can get for the price. it will be worth it in sound quality.

I have the head unit under control. Basically what i am lacking the most knowledge in is the basic component sets. I am aware as to how to wire and run them, i just have never put the time into looking for some good brands/sets/etc as i have not had the money and time to invest in them for myself. :/

Basically take the coaxials out of the initial quote I gave you earlier and you will have a banging clear system...
