I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT THE RADIO GOES OFF WHEN STARTING THE CAR
and opening the door opens the circuit for the radio after the car has been shut off
Radio will stay on for ten min after car has been shut down without the drivers door being open

i actually like how my screen is set up it automatically closes and turns off in 10 seconds after my car is off, but that is my screen and how i have it set up... that would probably be better for it but idk. i would say ask RFO

The radio should turn off while the car is cranking

i returned the part it was a malfunctioned unit. no it was not normal; the factory radio in the car is in the on position radio will activate, but when the car is cranked over (running) the radio should still be on. now when the car is turned off. the radio is still on, but when the door is opened it is suppose to cutt the power to the radio and the radio shuts off. my issue was the car in on position the radio would activate (normal) but when the car is in the run position the radio would turn off like it was off and the door was opened. maybe my first post was not clear enough sorry. i also noticed one thing we dint drive BMW's so stop being ahoes.

The unit was normal as when you start the car you are restarting the circuit for the radio and EVERYTHING else. I have an aftermarket radio that goes off when I turn the car off, nothing to do with the doors. If I turn the car on, it freshly cycles the electrical charge to EVERYTHING, causing the radio and ALL electronics to go off and then come back on.

P.S. Nobody drives a BMW, that's why they call it ALEROmod, you think?
