Well, I found out the hard way. When you buy cheap crappy HID bulbs off ebay you'll get cheap crappy bulbs...cheap crappy bulbs with a female plug that doesn't fit the male end on the Alero's plug...

My exhaust came in though! : D

Would that be you? My next question is: where or who sells some decent HIDs at a decent price?

depends on color style.

i went w/ aftermath (lifetime bulbs/ballasts) ~165.
rfo has a smaller selection. ~110

I have a white car so I don't think white lights would be the best. Bluish or maybe purplish would be pretty nifty I suppose.

Do you have a link or pics of the bulbs you bought??

What is the difference between the DDM website ones and the ones I would get from you Ryan? I would love to support a fellow member but $80 is $80...

A4, just search 2004 Oldsmobile Alero on ebay motors and you can see every cheap HID bulb that they have on there. They are japanese or chinese...I'm just glad it was a cheap mistake.

And I suppose I am inept because smurf's pics were too up close for me to really see or get a feel for what was going on with the harness and that converter module or whatever it is...I hate electrical stuff...bah.

And where can i find extra covers to seal the back of my headlight? I would hate to cut the wrong size hole or something and just be screwed. Yeah, I know-would have to be pretty dumb to do it but I put nothing past myself haha

umm, that doesnt mean they are cheap, it just means you cut the plug and hardwire it.

that is why you do not buy HIDs off Ebay you should have gotten them from ryan.

Dude. No I'm not cutting jack.

um...its just a wire man. Its not like your cutting the main harness. Just splice back the wire to the headlight plug and tie it around it. Done and done. I hardwired my hid fogs and headlights and both of those kits came off ebay. Doesn't mean they are cheap kits, its just the plug end is a universal plug.

just so you know 99% of kits are gonna come like that. It doesnt mean they are all cheap. Im willing to bet ryans may be the same way to. Doesnt say anything for his quality, im sure the kits are quality

The kits I sell are direct plug and play, not cutting of wires.

The rubber thing from the back of the head light housing, you can probably get that at Advance Auto parts in the help! section. Last ditch effort at junkyard...

If you cut to large use clear silicone.

Im not a fan of cutting factory wiring unless absolutely necessary.

That would be MOST helpful! I couldn't see that clearly from his pics...of course I didn't have my car right in front of me.
