View Full Version : Get SMURF some ASS

This thread is completely serious so be respectful!

We got ourselves a call to arms people. It shouldn't be a big shock to anyone to know the times have gotten hard.

Smurf needs some funds to get to/from ASS. He wants to go, but is stuck due to his unfortunate luck w/ getting a job.

Heres where it involves us. Its plain and simple. I'm looking for any small donations. This isn't for any kind of selfishness, no harm if you can't, but most of us can spare a few bucks. If he doesn't go, you get a full refund (minus paypal taxes)

Whats in it for you, you might ask? Nothing really. You get the satisfaction of knowing you allowed a fellow Aleromod member to go to an event he enjoys, and your donation will put you in the ranks of the Aleromod elite. Those of us who consider each other family. I can't stress that last part enough.

trunk_shakers_pres@yahoo.com The paypal.

If anyone can donate to the fund, then please do. If you can't, then you can't. Don't debate, or complain. Its simply a kind gesture to another member.

Thank you all.
Cherry

To all that have donated to allow me and the fam to make it this year, I want to PERSONALLY thank each and every one of you. You know who you are! You will be repaid, somehow and AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! I appreciate the help everyone has or is willing to give. I want to thank Cherry for starting this thread and basically "getting" me to go.
So without further ado, THANK YOU!

God damnit. I thought it was being sent to Chris so I asked for it to be anonymously sent to Smurf. Give me my money back Smurf.

Just kidding...

Well... hopefully this won't be all who contribute.

There are alot of members (myself included) who blow money on frivolous things, and probably more food then we really need.

Frankly, I have a $100 pair of component speakers sitting here that I'll never use. Giving a small amount of money, to someone who will put it to good use (and you having a good time with your family IS considered a good use) is well worth it.

I've donated to other members for stuff.... You just happened to be the lucky one this time.

Anyone else feel the same? We can't be the only ones willing to help our comrade

Thank you for your contribution! Are you coming this year?

I'll do my best to be there, providing that work doesn't have me going out on any shows or tours (it's not likely).

wish i could donate something, but jon and i are literally broke right now due to the army screwing up his pay, and a car that has no motor in it that we absolutely need running. we're having a hard time figuring out how we're gonna eat, but as soon as he gets back paid for all these meal deductions they've wrongfully been taking out i'll be more than happy to help send ya smurf! i hope i get the chance to go this year too! it's not as simple as a 5 hour drive this year though =( sucks.

Again, thank you to all the people that donated! And to those of you that can't, I understand and thank you for the thought AT LEAST!

Adria,
Either you or jon call me tomorrow. I will get his backpay straightened out, I still got (officers) friends in hood.

Walkerj014,
First and FOREMOST, Thank YOU for your service in the Army and just know that there are people out there that still count on you guys even when we are not at war.

Secondly, Thank YOU for your contribution to getting me to the meet. Is there anyway you are going to be there? Also, If you don't mind me asking which write-ups are you referring too? I can't remember how many i did and actually how many I posted on these forums. LOL

EXACTLY Cherry,
I find this to be one of those total out of the blue moments, where I have never even heard of this guy or seen his introduction, and then all of the sudden he is giveing me money to get to a function he hasn't been too. I find this TOTALLY awesome that he would even think about something like this. This is DEFINITELY what the family is about.

Again, Thank ALL of YOU that have donated so far. I have enough as of NOW to make the trip out there, but not back. I will NOT disclose an exact amount as I find this to be rude, but will let you guys know of some progress.

First- There is no need to thank me for what I do for my country, thank the Fallen Soldiers and Wounded Warriors that gave alot more than I have.
Second- Your welcome and have a BLAST! As for me being there: No can do... I'm getting ready to change duty stations and I'm saving money for the trip and move. (Road trip with kids and a wife is alot)
Third- as for the write up the 2 that stand out most are the "idiot proof HID install" and T-10 inverted LED gauges.
I would also like to thank Cherrrington17 for his write ups aswell. I'm about to go LED Crazy on my car lol!:yahoo:

Have fun at ASS

$15 bucks for half a tank of gas or a bite to eat on the way...I don't want to even hear anything about being a cheap officer lol (I'm still trying to get on my feet at Bliss and I could use some connections here haha).

But I hope you get enough to go. Enjoy it for me, I doubt I will have enough leave built up by then to have the chance to go. Many of us have never met and though we don't do it in person we literally spend hours together reading, typing, arguing and laughing. We're a community and that is what is important-sticking together.

I have many friends that have given their lives for our freedom and thank them ALL evry chance I get. My father is still serving in the Army and after 23 years is deadlocked into his position. I know all about the military and how it works. LOL
Thanks for your kind words and hope that the PCS goes well for you and your family!

Okay so here is the dilemma... with the donations everyone has been more than generous to give will definitely get me there and at least half way back. However I will still need a room for my wife and kid. If someone has an extra bed and is willing to let my wife and son sleep in it, then I would appreciate it. I will stay the night in my car and make sure that our (ASS attendees) cars are perfectly safe. I will be bringing protection also. I will be willing to wash the persons car or whatever needs to be done in order to repay the favor. Just let me know if this could be possible.
Thanks,

Smurf,

Don't be redicilous or however you spell it....... I am sure that nobody will have to sleep in the car! We will be well protected as we were last time, don't worry about that. You are bringing a playpen for the baby to sleep in, correct? I am sure anyone with an extra double bed room that doesn't mind, could share there room. We did it last year with Chris and his daughter. And no you don't have to wash anyone's car, do not be silly..... we will figure it out. You guys could stay in our room, but we have Auntie Patty and Raya in our room as of right now.

We will figure it out..... who is rooming seperately that could room with smurf and his wife?

And worse case, if you guys don't mind maybe we can take the baby with us in our room....... just bring a paypen. If you don't have one let me know, we will bring one up.... I think we still have our or we know somebody that does.

Strtrydr,
That would be awesome. I was informed, or as us miltary guys know it...volunTOLD, that I will NOT be sleeping outside and will be sleeping somewhere with someone. LOL. I appreciate the offer and have one question, what would be keeping you from attending?
-Smurf-

strtrydr
04-04-2010, 06:12 AM
Lol ... I completely understand volunTOLD ... As far as me going everything depends on me either getting my new job and then being able to get time off or not getting my job ... Hopefully it's the first option. I have already set aside the funds to make the trip so that's all taken care of.

Strtrydyr,
Your coming and you know it! Just go ahead and register. LOL. Dont make me come to a military instalation and pull you from your unit by the ear having to explain to your company commander that you are part of a family that needs you....ROTF!

Bdyman,
That shit was funny as hell! However you forgot the part where Scott BUST into mine and Heinecks room going get up guys we are late and I am like wheres Auntie Patty, shes got my coffee.

Cherry,
I appreciate the help and have just NOW remembered that you wont be there do to school. I appreciate ALL the help you have given me and everything you have done for me! I will make you proud! You should see my NEW system (Box and Subs) 2400 watts (700 watts of pure nut massaging power (RMS)), and thats just the subs, everything else has remained the same. I have already talked with sfi3400 and will be installing some LEDs in his ride for him, promise to take pictures.

Momma Mo,
I appreciate the help as well and am definitely going to register either after church (or during, if I get bored), LOL.
However if you awake and can't find me in the hotel room, check the bathtub (like I told you last night, I've slept in hotel bathrooms before), the lobby, my car, ANY alero, and then the ground. I am sure to be SOMEWHERE...I hope.
I am saving my trunk area for Adria. ROTF

That would be funny ... except for im not in the military anymore (did 6 years and got out.) I live in Illinois now and your right i am pretty sure that im going to be able to make it this year. I have been wanting to go for the last 6 years while I was out in Phoenix, nut just didnt want to drive that distance.

Like I said before ... I will take care of your room, regardless if you want to room or if you guys want your own room. I can spare the extra money to make sure of that.

I appreciate it and am MORE THAN WILLING to share a room, just know that I have a 19 month old (dont worry he sleeps through the night). I am NOT the kind of person that will tell ANYONE that I need to be alone in the room. If you are willing to room with me and the wifey and kid, then we would appreciate this and will guarantee you have plenty of fun.
I WILL GUARANTEE EVERYONE WILL HAVE FUN THIS YEAR!
