Is this GM top end cleaner? I bought it today for freaking $27 from a dealer so it better be as damn good as everyone makes it out to be. Preferred or handy methods of using it? And what equipment do you need to flush the fuel rail with it?

Really? Nothing? Just in need of someone with some prior use experience here...short post.

you know how they have rockstar energy double shot? well this is seafoam double shot. Same thing just quite a bit stronger. you got bent over right on the counter and raped tho if they charged you 27 bucks.

should have used amsoil. less expensive easier to apply, and works better.

Yeah I hear you, but GM top end supposedly works better. An expresso compared to a cup of coffee kind of thing. You still can run it through the system with the PCV valve through the throttle body right? Just like seafoam?

And yeah...I totally got raped...dealer-go figure.

yea u do it the exact same way, 1/3rd in the oil, 1/3rd through the TB and 1/3rd in the gas tank

Do not put this in your oil. $27 is more than double the price I paid a couple years ago. The GM stuff works great as I did a comparison on some pistons. Never tried seafoam but would have to do the same test to comment.

Yeah this stuff isn't for oil...fuel injector rails and upper engine only. No fuel tanks or oil reservoirs.

DO NOT PUT IT INT HE OIL OR GAS TANK.

FFS people. Read the damned bottle and use as directed.

Pour it down the motor 1/3 bottle not letting it stall. Pour remainder quickly until stalls. Start up 15 minutes later, watch smoke show.

Pour remainder down the motor not letting it stall.

Enjoy good running car.

Good running indeed. Yes, the bottle says only for direct hook up to fuel rails to clean the injector and through the valves. I poured a bunch in but a good bit just went down my CAI and onto the concrete...prolly just poured too quickly. Seafoam in the oil and gas tank. Sit and marinate for the night and oil change tomorrow.

I did an oil change and noticed something odd today...last night I did another GM top engine treatment to soak overnight and I noticed that some of the solution runs down and leaks out of my CAI. So today, doing the oil change I see splatters of something on the driver side of undercarriage and a brown solution dripping from where the bottom of my CAI is located. It is brown, smells more like windshield washer/glass cleaner solution so I wonder if it soaked my filter enough to keep dripping...? Seems unlikely. Makes me nervous though.

Maybe you got rid of some gunk and now there is a hidden leak being revealed. Also you don't want to over-do the cleaning.

What kind of leak is what I wonder though? Splattered like it was oil but leaking all the way towards the front driver side? I'm talking in front of the front wheel so far up. A very odd path to travel for something engine related. I noticed the solution leaking down as I was pouring last night-I'm just really hoping it was residual.
