Hey everybody! I'm Cory, from Decatur, AL. I'm a youngen, posting in at 20 years of age, and I bought my 2004 Alero, 3.4L v6,
around a month ago for a bargain from a person I work with. I owned a Camaro before this, so the Alero is like riding on a
cloud compared to the camaro's rock-tough suspension. It's 100% stock, with the exception of window tints, but
I've already ordered my CAI. Also, I want recommendations of ways to get better gas mileage, so if you have anything
worth listening to, shoot it my way. And a good sounding exhaust setup, with little to no rasp :)

Clean ride. If you search for my "advice and education" and "pacesetter exhaust" threads you should find all the answers you seek in your initial post.

welcome and i thought the pacesetter exhaust was only for the 2.2 and 2.4 not the 3.4 i might be wrong. for the exhaust i would get either flowmaster super 40 or 44but thats my opinion.

welcome, pacesetter is for the 3.4 also it sounds horrible on a 4 cyl. when i had my alero i put an 80 series flowmaster from a camaro on and deleted the resonator, it had a nice sound for being on stock piping but would've been better if i had gotten 2.5" piping but didn't have enough money to do it

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. The interior is immaculate, and the car has 107k miles, 99% highway. Also, I want cool light/taillight/other simple mods, if anyone has some good recommendations for the gunmetal metallic color.

Actually, I have been looking at your exhaust setup from previous threads, and I am totally interested. I want to find the cheapest prices on the cat-back Pacesetter dual exhaust kit, and if it is still available, where did you find the "west coast" high-flow cat? And how much was the total cost of everything without labor and install?

I may have gotten a little ripped off with the high flow cat as it was something like $299 bought and installed. I was only able to have it because the exhaust shop I took my car to had it in stock. So far, I haven't been able to find a high flow cat for the 3.4 online.

I can't remember the precise site, but in my "pacesetter exhaust" thread a guy gave me the url for a site with the cheapest pacesetter exhaust I had seen so far. Note on the dual exhaust kit: unless you buy a body kit you have to cut a bit of you back bumper out to open space for the other exhaust pipe. Not very noticeable but not completely clean. The pacesetter will run you $300ish. Altogether, exhaust and cat installed at a shop: $750ish.

Hope it helps...we really need to find someone that can make some headers for our 3.4s...

This thread has some ideas about what you can do when you cut your bumper.
