hey guys, just want your thoughts on something.
i want to get the aas sport kato body kit (http://www.andysautosport.com/oldsmobile/1999_2004_alero/exterior/body_kits/aas/andy00073736.html)
and i dont mind the front and back bumpers. i just think the side skirts aren't much different from the stocks.
so what if i got the front and back bumper, razzi spoiler, grand am mirrors and put on the grand am gt side molding like this guy (crazytaxi i think) did.
this might be hard, but could anyone photo shop a alero like that, 2 door if you could

do you think it would all flow pretty good together. i dont want a giant spoiler, and the razzi one is by far my favorite one for the alero.

Only if someone is getting rid of one.... pretty sure there's still no one making them.
First pic looks nice! Except for the side molding which I am not a fan of. But I like the idea of the Razzi spoiler too...

yup, from what i could see, there was a group buy for that hood, and i think it was around $700. not sure.
and i want to know the process of putting the paneling on the side. i think it would like nice with the aas bumpers, and razzi spoiler, with grand am mirrors

double sided automotive tape for the most part, the rest is held on by screws or the plastic trees.

well. our doors look exactly the same too me. so probably just pull the paneling off (from what i've seen its just trip tape. and then clean up, then stick to your car).
thats why i wish he would post on here though. but i think with an aftermarket bumper it would look great. not to sure about stock. i think i'll give it a try if i can find some grand am gt parts for cheap

I was thinking of doing the ga gt swap but i was told i had to have the hood fenders and headlights. if you know a better way then please let me know

if you want the grand am front end on your car, thats what your going to have to do, and it's more than hood and bumper, it's also the headlights, and the mounting for the lights etc
i was just thinking about putting the molding on

Those body kits make the Alero look like a DSM Eclipse.

if you want the side moldings from the ga, why not just find the whole door at a scrap yard, and just do that... then it is just hinges and the interior door panel, rather than messing with double sided tape and screws... just a thought...

ya, i thought of that, since i do need two new doors. then i can also get doors with power windows and such already there

There isnt a better way unless you want just the GT bumpers and door panels. You could merge the top portion of the alero bumper and the lower GT portion and create one bumper, install the door ridges, forget the rear because youd have 2 license plate holders wich would look ghey.

I agree with the thought in your head of how stupid the idea of swaping doors would be just for some panels......

I would do the same thing colonel if I was into caring more about the look of my car right now, im just thinking performance. My car also needs two doors eventually, rust starting at the bottom and all the damn dents from dumb ppl opening doors(before I owned the car). Plus the other moldings can cover any other rust that wants to start lol.

will the razzi spoiler bolt into place of factory spoiler or do new holes need to me drilled?

i haven't seen it, but from the pictures, it appears new holes have to be drilled
