HOPE THE TITLE GOT MOST OF YOU TO READ THIS :haha:

anyway the name is matt im from Houston Tx and I own a 2004 chevy malibu classic

i see a couple of you guys on here have a L61 and thats wat peaked my interest mainly cause i set out to build myself a turbocharged L61 malibu and at the same time most of the parts are not just straight bolt on mostly everything i have seen for me to use is straight custom or universal (which doesn't always work) anyway more about my ride

here my list of mod so far:
Cosmo Racing SRI System
Vibrant Front STB
KYB All the way around w/ AG Springs 1.5"
CA Underdrive light-weight Crank pulley
TorqFlo Trans cooler
Full A/C Delete
Ploy stab & Frame bushing


mod on the way (the next week or two)
installing colder plugs
tuning by trifecta
swaping intake manifold from 2.2 to 2.4
install my 17" DR-8's

Future mods:

I love those rims and they will look sweet on a white car :D

Building up a L61 is pretty easy, you just have to know where to look. The stock bottom end has been known to take upto 1000 hp :eek:

I have the 3400 motor ;)

Welcome to the forum, post more pics of your ride. You are not alone when trying to find parts for the n-body, we cant even get mounts without being custom, but there is still plenty of stuff that we can use from another platform when is engine related but im sure you already know about that... I think I saw your post on EF.com if im not mistaking.

thanks man and how did you know my malibu was white :) as soon as I get some time im gonna install these bad boys, i really like them seeing how my friend at discount got them for me for 90 bucks each there 17x7 17 pounds each with a 2 in lip :D

:lol: DONE, that picture was taken when I entered the UTI Car show in 2008, it was just to dress up the engine but now its gone :cool:

hey buddy i just sent you a PM on ecotecfourm.com ill be starting the thread today on here about the motor mounts so far in my poll i see there is three L61 on here but i know there should be alot more, looking foward to hearing from you soon and from TTR soon too

Another N-body with the Ecotec here.... we definitely need to get someone to make us some mounts.

Race preparation basically involves just two modifications — switching to stainless steel cylinder liners and the use of aftermarket main and head studs.

Both of those are no big deal......
