Have you done any work that required your wheels to be taken off? If so you might check the tightness of the lug nuts. I replaced the rotors on our car and didnt quite get them tightened down and it made a noise similiar to that.

Talk to a mechanic, but I had the same issue with my last car, and it was the bearing. Sometimes the sealed casing for the bearing starts to separate due to heat once the bearing starts to go, and the assembly shifts slightly under certain forces. That's why you hear it when you turn. put you car securely on jackstands in the front, put the car in drive at idle, and listen closely to determine where exactly the sound is coming from. (don't rub your ear off on the wheel :o )You should be able to tell if the sound is coming from the center of the wheel, or from the rotors/pads. Have someone turn the wheel and keep listening. You should have someone behind the wheel to hit the brakes if the car slips off the jackstands.
