lomandi brake pads

anybody else ever use/hear of this brand? 3 years, and close to 40k miles ago, these are what i put on my car when i needed new pads. i tend to brake hard, but i never had any issues or noise with these pads. they are finally wearing out, and its taking a bit longer to stop than id like, so its time to replace. just curious if anyone else has had any experience, or if theres any suggestions for good fairly inexpensive pads. thanks.

40k miles on a set of pads!?!?!?!?! I'm at 15k (new record) and they're starting to squeak. I'm a very soft braker too. Most of my harder braking like going downhills is from the engine, so idk wtf is wrong with my car :(

ya, i got them installed about a year after i got my car, which at that point had about 145k on it. now around 184k, and its getting difficult to stop, and getting the slight squeak when im driving. i figure if the pads lasted this long, no reason not to get them again.

ya. theyre similarly priced to other pads, and i know they last a hell of a long time, so why not. just make sure when/if you order them you specify that you want alero pads. i didnt last time, and i got i think rears for an intrigue. they said since i didnt specify thats what they send. i think they should have notified me first, but they took them back and shipped the right ones at no charge for shipping either way. all that of course if its the same seller i bought from 3 years ago.

edit: its the same seller, so just make sure you specify what model. theres a good chance they;; ask anyway.

I got at least 40K out of my f-body pads. Just changed them a few months back, rotors are still good though.

not sure. cant say i've ever heard of them. and my front brakes were metal on metal, and i could barely stop at all, and while i was at the junkyard i found a brand new set of raybestoes on a car. so i installed those. $20. i probably shouldnt of installed brakes off a wrecked car, but i'm saving for the corvette brake conversion

ya, mine are almost at that point. im pushing pretty damn hard on the brake pedal to get the car to stop, and its starting to take longer and longer. 40k is pretty damn good for a set of ebay special brake pads tho. also got the d/s rotors off ebay, and those are holding up great.

well, i decided this weekend to take a better look at my brakes to see what else might be needed besides pads. to my suprise, all 8 pads have 1/4 inch or more of material left. thats right...after 3 years and almost 40k miles ive got that much brake pad left. thats good because i wont have to replace those any time soon, but bad because now i have to figure out why its sometimes difficult to brake. no visible leaks. only once early last winter did i have to add a tiny bit of fluid. my brother who is a mechanic said it could be an internally leaking master cylinder, which i pray its not because im sure thats expensive. also, while i had the wheels off checking everything, i tried to figure out why my ebrake can be pulled all the way up with little effort. with the handle up, the drivers side (rear) wheel does not move, but the passenger side spins freely. all the cables are in decent shape, and dont seem stretched out. once weather gets nicer, ill take the rotor off and see what kind of shape everything is in. any other possibilities for the difficulty braking besides a master cylinder issue? thanks for the help, and sorry for the novel you just had to read.
