Hey guys
Is there a place where i could fit spacers between bolts on the exhaust to have a better sound?
Thanx

What about piercing a hole right before the muffler the right size so i can plug it with a bolt and rubber washer when i want?

Wait, what? You are trying to make an exhaust leak? If you want better sound, put a different muffler on. A flowmaster single chamber or spintech super pro street would probably be plenty loud. If you want to bypass the muffler, install a cutout. They even have electric ones, so you could switch to an open exhaust with flick of a switch.

I guess its a bit of both
I want a bit of sound, but i want the option of sealing for a stock sound.
I wanted to drill right before the muffler so that a 3/8" bolt could seal the hole. I figured that way if I do that, most of the exhaust will still go through the muffler. I was hoping it wouldn't leak into the car.
What else is the Bypass for?

Cuz i have a Kid, i don't want him sitting on a Sound Bomb. So when i want the sound, i could take the bolt out, and when i m done, just place it back in.
It's the only way I've found I could have a nice sound that i could control. Only on when i want it to. A fully modified Exhaust would've been nice, but i cant convince my GF about that... lol

Have you ever heard this engine with an open exhaust? I'm betting it will sound like ass. The right exhaust setup will be quiet enough at idle and cruising to make the GF and baby happy, but still sound mean at WOT.

There is a diff in the way a perfomance exhaust sounds and a stock exhaust with a hole poked in it. Honestly I think its gunna sound like crap.

my ecotec currently has no muffler, and it's loud as balls at wot, and even idle, and cruise. would not recommend it

You have an Eco and want to drill a hole in the exhaust :wtf2:
OK they did this back in the 1940's and 1950's when cars had V8 engines and no emission contorls on them. Do that today and on a 4 banger :badidea:
BTW I have a V6 with dual Flowmaster 44's on it, not only does it sound pretty good, but it puts my son to sleep

... I have a V6 also.
I have another kid on the way, so no money for Flowmasters :(

Drop the coin on a custom bent cat back it will sound a billion times better than drilling holes, plus it will actually do you some good performance wise and you can choose a good muffler that won't be "offensively" loud

Just save up the money and do it right the first time. I've been down this road, and its much cheaper in the long run.
