Starts only with Car Starter

I have a 2002 Olds Alero and sometimes I can't start the car via the ignition ( it turns ) but when I use my remote car starter it starts.

The security light goes on from time to time and the check engine light comes on.

If I drive the car and get it over 2500 rpm for awhile shut it off then start it with key in ignition its fine but then unless I get the car over 2500 rpm again I'll have to use the remote car starter. Whats going on. I have replaced the Battery.

or maybe the remote start has caused a bad connection on the ignition wire?

Hmmmm, strange.. When the no-start w/ key happens, is that when the security light comes on??

I'd re-connect the yellow wire where the 555L module splices it in half and see if the problem goes away...

Also, I'd check all the connections where the main remote start power wires tap into the car's main ignition wires... could be loose or something, depending on how they were installed.

clutch1 The security light comes on when the car is running and at intermittent times. Battery Light flickers on and off at times to. Right now the check engine light is on.

I have a brand new battery in the car. I got the remote car starter at Long Radio, they installed it a couple years ago, its only been the last several months that this issue seems to be eluding us.

Would an alternator be a problem?

From my understanding, If the alternator was bad, once the battery was worn down the car wouldn't start under any circumstances.

My guess is that the remote starter is causing an issue with the ignition (bad wire splice, etc)
