New Rims to paint?

So i've found a set of AM racing rims on a grand am. New tires and the guy wants $100 for them. They are 16 inch polished aluminum. The fronts have brake/spark damage, so the question is, If i paint them Black with a red outer strip, will the paint hold?

if you use good paint and do it right, yea it will hold just fine.

Clean them, sand them, primer them, and paint them. Paint will only come off if you really try to get it off.
