I have asked this time and time again but have never gotten any answers. Has anyone ever actually looked inside the stock resonator to see if it is just a perforated core like a staright-through muffler?

I was also wondering something like that..
Is the muffler a muffler/resonator combonation?
When I get my new muffler, I'll check out the stock one. It has a really odd shape to it.. almost like a large pillow or something.

the resonator is sumwhat strait through...i got a good look at it when mine was sliced open by a chunk of metal lying on the road <_< ...if u got the 2.4, don't take it off unless u want the car to have a crackle sound to it when the car shifts...it's a disgusting sound...can't wait to get something better then this...sounds like a civic at the moment :(

mine doesn't crackle at all. And i got the SLP with magnaflow muffler. But the resonator does deepen the sound.
