Does anyone have any experince with carter fuel pumps and how long will they last, I found a really good deal on ebay and am thinking about buying it. Also I dont know if this helps but the Delphi is made in Mexico and the Carter is made in the US

These newer Delphi, Airtex, and Carter replacement modules are not exactly the same and not as good as the original Delphi that came with the vehicle. That's my opinion based on just comparing the build quality and construction. But I believe any of them will do OK for your application. If I had to choose, I would try a Carter, but I have not used one as a replacement.
Be sure to keep the original canister, possibly at a later time get a Carter pump (if available) and new filter screens to rebuild it.
According to someone here at NAPA, you can also order a Bosch replacement module, which I would do if it were not so expensive, I think it was twice as much as the Delphi.

Thanks for your help I will most likely try the carter, I have the airtex curently instaled for about of year and it only works when it wants to, even with passlock funioning proporley so hopefully i will have better luck with the carter.
