reprogram remote?

anybody on here know exactly how to reprogram a keyless remote? I tried the search button here and nothing came up I looked on google and tried a few different things like holding the unlock button and putting the key in 3 times then leaving it in ignition and letting go of the unlock button and presing the lock and unlock button on the remote which did nothing.

anyone got any ideas?

I found it through ehow. According to them you need to connect a jumper between 2 terminals in the dataport while you press unlock.

I will, now to find a paperclip around the house lol. finally one with pictures I have yet to see any with one

ok doesn't work, not enough #'s for one on the obd2 port and and pins arent in # what is 4 and the #7 since there is no 8

I click on 2000 alero and it shows something completely different, ill try that.

doesnt work on the other thing I tried off the site for the 2000 alero.
