My friend has a GAGT and put in a 7 inch model PLD70BT. They were wondering if it can be code bypassed for bluetooth/DVD without parking brake or are we gonna have to run a ground wire?

i did that for my pioneer dvd headunit. put a switch in the middle of the wire and make it a ground. when u flip the switch it will work while youre driving

so just ground the wire and put a switch in the middle of it? thats it? I still gotta do this with my HU...

Some do that.. Not all.

Alpine requires you to do a pattern of brake and parking brake .. Needs a little $20 module to emulate the process

yea. when u switch the player to video mode or w.e it will say unavailible while driving. then flip the switch back and forth and it will work

So why can't I just run a constant ground so that when I switch to it the video would play without having to flip another switch?

it resets everytime it turns off or you start the car. its a safety precaution to keep people from viewing video while driving. its outrageously distracting watching rammstein's 'pussy' music video while driving

EDIT: Lol at word replacement
