I'm searching for a drag strip around El Dorado KS, 67042 if that helps, I've seen there are a few people from the Wichita area..what track do you go to?

Google has a cool thing called Maps that lets you put in search keywords and find businesses near whatever location you give it.

Oh, awesome I found this same track but it was recently called Wichita International Dragway...that closed in 08..thanks for the help. I was dreading having to drive 2 hours to topeka just to race..

2hrs isn't bad really to drive to race.........There are some members that probably don't have a 1/4mile track within 8 hours of them, now that would suck. My rule if we ever look at moving after I graduate school is we have to live within 4 hrs of a 1/4mile track.

yea, I was told when I moved up here there would be a track in Eureka KS, that was a lie... back when I lived in Roswell there was a track 10 mins from my house, so I basically grew up at the strip...Luckily this track is only an hour away, Good luck this weekend Colonel hope the trip and the races go well for you.

Junction City is only 2 hours from Wichita. What kind of friends do you have out here?

You wrestled too? So did I from 2nd grade to my junior year. Though high school I was 112 then 125 the next 2 years.

yea I didnt wrestle that long, I started 7th grade through 12th, freshman year I was 160 and moved up a weight class a year..went to state twice once at 171 and once at 215

here's from my team, I was a senior in '68.... team state champs, I took 2nd, 127 lbs. :p
