Hey all, I found some rims I like that I am really considering getting once I have the money.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=2006710BML&wheelMake=Platinum&wheelModel=Apex&wheelFinish=Black+w%2FMach+Lip&showRear=no&autoMake=Oldsmobile&autoModel=Alero+GL+Sedan&autoYear=2003&autoModClar=&filterSize=16&filterFinish=All&filterSpecial=false&filterBrand=All&filterNew=All&sort=Brand

Only thing is I'm cheap, and have virtually brand new tires on my stock rims. these rims are 16x7, the stock is 16x6.5. My question is, will the tires I have now be safe to put on the new rims? they're P225/50R16

Those look slick. If you get them at tirerack.com they'll match the tires right up to the rim for you and send them together. Much easier that way.

did u read the part where he said he just bought brand new tires and didnt want to spend more money on tires again?

and as far as i know, it should be fine putting the tires on the new rims. it isnt a huge difference in size.

Aftermarket 16s are a waste IMO.

Just keep your good tires and stockers for winter.. then get some big 18s.

I'd love to do that but I'm a broke college student, and all my big money is going to be going into restoring a 67 Riviera starting this summer. The rims are just a little something to make my car look less generic (there's at least 5 other silver sedan aleros in my town of approx. 7,000). However if I ditch college and get a job at a body shop I'll have more money then might just get these rims in 17 or 18", followed by a drop and tinting the windows
