The point is to make it look more sleek. It looks weird to you and maybe some other people....but it looks good to me and a lot of other people ;) No more BULKY letters.

no....just get some floss or fishing line and wiggle it behind the emblems to take them off.....then get some goo gone to rub off the tape or you can use your fingers ;) then wax and your done.

Yes. but you will need to get some really thin double sided tape....good stuff too....like 3M tape. That shit isnt cheap either ;) Or im sure you could find some cheap stuff, but then you risk them falling off.

How do you take door guards off now same way lol?
yep just use a heatgun/blow dryer to heat up the adhesive a little bit and use dental floss / fishing line to get behind it. then use goo gone to remove the leftovers.

Keep in mind that removing things like this on an older car could leave unfaded spots on the paint.
Take the badges off, and the paint underneath is orginal but the rest of the car is faded ;)

A friend of mine just removed his side mouldings on his 20 year old car and there was no evidence of fading on one side... The other side had a paint ridge from previous bodywork however.
