Alright guys so last new i got a steal on a set of rims and tires. got them bolted up tight as i could get them by hand, and i started moving everything was fine. started feeling flat spots in tires (used tires) so i figured whatever summer rims anyway. drove straight.

10 min later sounded like a rock tumbler in the passenger side rear tire, hit the brakes, sound gone. let off brake and drive sound is back. I got home and noticed that the tire was not on the rim properly (direction of tire was backwards) could this be the cause of this? also the car tends to pull to the right now...what could the problem of this be?

make sure the wheel is bolted on flush, check your lugs..sounds like the wheel isnt on tight and its moving around, if not you probably need some new tires...and no pics??

umm a rotational tire that is mounted the wrong way will make a loud noise reguardless of you stepping on the gas or brake imo

is the hole in the center of the rim larger than your hub size??

when we bolted them up there was a little wobble in the rims but we put to lug nuts on tight and then did the rest and they bolted down even all around.

You think they were even, but even a small amount could be horrible. I would get some hubcenter centering rings....

sounds to me your lug nuts aren't tight. jack the car up if you can until the tires are just barely touching the ground and get lug nuts tight. then if you can find a torque wrench, torque them to 100 ft. lbs. and a directional tire thats running backwards wont cause that type of noise it will be more of a humming.

i have been running my rims without hub-centric rings for 4 months now with no noise or vibrations. not saying your wrong just saying a lot of rims you can get away without them if they are hubed up right and tight.

It just works out that way sometimes.

I only have one ring left on my car, wheels don't vibrate that much. The rears never do, the fronts, the one with the missing ring does every now and again
