I have the stock Alero non-polished alloy wheels (as in not the steelies), and I was wondering if it was possible to polish them? I understand it will be a lot of work if possible, but with winter ahead, and me unable to work, time is all I have. Any help will be appreciatted.

Fine and finer grit sandpaper till seems nice and smooth, then Mother's polish galore. It will take a long time. lol

or you could just pop off the tires and sand them than powder coat like I did?

yes you could polish them for an even better shine that stock polished rims!

Here is an example of 3400 valve covers that have been polished.

They could powdercoat them a high polished, but that might not be cost effective. Maybe scrounge a junkyard for polished ones. Or the Walmart parking lot, just pull up next to one with GLS polished and switch the centercaps.....lol

then why go through all the work to polish yours? "shop" for some GLS wheels in walmart lol...not to condone any illegal activity of course

make sure you have your nascar pit crew with you..

how much do they want though, most yards are a rip.

they want about between $200 and $400 depending on if they are scratched or not, and if the tires are good on them. i have a friend that works there and he told me about all the sets out there and headlights too so im probably gonna get a couple of sets to clear and tinker with.
