Hey. i finally got some money and first thing i want to upgrade is the muffler. My plans are to remove the cat and replace the muffler. The only muffler resources i have are glasspack or turbo.
Im leaning towards the turbo muffler

Do a chambered muffler on a four cylinder, turbo or glasspack either one will sound like rice.

I've heard Flowmasters on a 2.4 Cavy once. Loud as hell, and sounded like shit.
ANY "I" motor will sound like a lawnmower with a glasspak. I've heard the 4.2 I-6 with a full exhaust (Trailblazer) and it sounded like ass

and don't delete the cat, the 3hp gain isn't worth destroying the air around you. plus i'm sure you'll need it for inspection. just get a high flow cat

3hp gain from deleting a cat? :haha:
I gotta ask where you heard that. Maybe a 3hp gain on a 400HP car, maybe

Its not illegal, correct. But it will be really loud and extremely annoying. Not to mention sound real rice

i did 2.5 inch catback with no rez outta dynomax. driving up hills blows now... low end torque is gone. u can throw in a glasspack as a resonator if u want something a little more free flowing and it will compliment the dynomax muffler with a nice deep tone and no rasp. but once u take off the res it gets real raspy

rk sport header factory cat, 2 1/2 pipe, glasspack muffler and it dumps right behind the drivers side rocker molding just turn up the volume for the video

gets really raspy up there in the high RPM's but its a 4-banger so what else can you say :p

i dont think any type of muffler will help a 4 banger, mine is real loud and real raspy

I don't think its the muffler that makes it raspy cause I replaced mine and it sounds low and no rasp. Its low pitched -4500 but then gets quite when in 4500+rpms. Now if I take off my res, I'm sure it will get raspy. So its not the muffler that causes the rasp

That's what the resonator is there for, is eliminate the drone of a v6 or v8, and the rasping of a 4 cyl
