Did this awhile ago just never got around to posting pics.
Got bored at work and just happened to have an extra alero hood laying around. Will get pics of it on the car later.

Doesn't this look a little like the one NeverDoneUsa is making?
It looks good though! Can't wait to see how it looks on the car!

how big of a pita was this? my friend owns a body shop and me and him have been tossing around the idea of this on my car for a while now.

Not even close, it look more like the Boatec hood.

I like this better than the prominent cowl. This is subtle enough to pass as stock if you don't look closely, the full blown cowl is really in-your-face.

I like in your face!!! I will wait to see finished installed pics however to give my final opinion on this hood.

The way it looks on the car is key, but from what you have here it looks pretty sexy...not to huge but no to subtle. Our hoods have that slight raise now which is nice ,and this is like that following the same lines but with a bit more punch to it. I likes!!
Good Work!

If your friend has a body shop then it should be easy, took me three days, most of that time was block sanding.

I think its just the headlight housings painted and not projectors. If anyone had projectors completed without sharing that would be a no-no

eh, not my cup of tea, too rounded and bubble like for my tastes....

They are projectors, just not happy with them, working on a new set now.

Need day shots to really see the lines...so far so good... I liked the roundness of it...Its like the stock lines but more profound. I still like it..may change after day shots though. Fit looks good!

isn't kind of the point to get a different hood is for people to look at it, or at least get some functionality out of it?
Ttop191
10-27-2010, 07:07 PM
well yeah functionality, but with people who don't know aleros could still be added to a sleeper ;)

I like it a lot! its on my list for winter projects. the only thing i would change is to make it wider near the cowl area.

gorgeous, and just like i was thinking, functional, but designed so people who aren't looking close enough will mistake it for stock, when i finally get another n-body, hopefully within a year, I'm definitely gonna need some specs :thumb:

In my rearview mirror it'll look close to stock to me. You could make alot of money making those hoods and selling them. (but just on aleromod only) lol

:haha: Everybody will say that but when it finally comes nobody will pony the money up, that's how it always happens and why everything is never produced after one run, the boatec hood, the osv, turbo kits, etc. I could go on and on.

shipping would be at least $180 freight, and you know it'd be damaged in shipment
