Ok, so you guys are ready to pay $300+ for set?
The average price of projectors like he is using are $80-$140.
Add in labor at $40/hr. Plus he needs core headlights.
$300 a set would be a steal......

if they looked just like that, and worked, i'd pay 300 a set

If you didn't have fogs... is it possible/legal to have bi-xenon in both, and wired so you have 4 headlights(and/or 4 hi-beams) on at once?
I know you can only have 2 pair of lights on at a time, in some states... are you restricted to only 1 headlight 1 fog?
broken__one

The projectors are from a 07 BMW 335i, and yes since it is now bi-xenon, the hight beam slot will be a DRL. The high beam side i have is from the same BMW light. Making these for resale would not be cost efective at the moment.
the light's from the BMW I am getting the parts from are $1200.00 each without bulb and box. I just happend to hve one come in with damaged light's.
Sorry guys. I will post up pics of finished product though. If i can find a more cost efective way of making them I would be happy to do so. The first set is always the hardest.

You should know anything is posible, but why would you want 4 hi-beams.
On another note i do have a question for you. I will PM you.

If you aimed the middle two slightly inside and lower.. then the outer two more straight and up slightly (not high, just a little higher than the others)
UBER VISION!

ok yes LOTS of light. I don't think it is allowed for on road use in any state.

I thought you were allowed 2 pairs of lights. Since most cars now have headlights and fogs.
I know some old bmws have 2 headlights (maybe one head one fog) but they are side by side...

2 sets of forward facing light are legal here. so highs and lows, or just lows and fogs, seldom see highs and fogs

right.... so in that case... what about lows + lows or Highs + highs?
if you have two bi-xenon projectors, it would be foolish to NOT use all 4 lights!
colonel6632
10-28-2010, 09:52 PM
i would do the same, i would have mine set up like this
low beam - bi-xenon. when car is on low beam, just low beam light
high beam - single projector. when flipped, low beam bi-xenon goes to high, and then the high beam lights up too

You got install pics or a How-to? I would sooooo be able to do that myself by following pics, or at least getting the build list and tools.

dont newer mustangs sometimes come with 4 headlights straight across the grille? i see them all the time with all 4 lights on o.o
Cliff8928
10-29-2010, 01:22 PM
Nah... All mustangs 1987+ have a single dual filament headlight on each side... Many of the 2005+ fog lights are in the grille. Some of the aftermarket headlights do have separate high-low though.

the 05+ ones have lights in the grill their driving lights as they call them ( fog lights ) their blinding as heck but emit quite a bit of light while driving with them.
and honestly if it was 300 plus shipping I would of been more then willing to pay but since its $1200 for the dam thing its deff not worth while but I want to see pics when done of course

no install pics yet, not done with them.
How to pics: no I don't have any, this is a labor intensive project that i recomend one having molding and fabrication skills.

Yes that kit could work for a projector upgrade, but ther will still be major modifications to be made for it to fit, look, and work properly.
This is my third set of projector lights built for my alero, each one a little more advanced, but at the same time each one takes longer.

This is why I'm getting a second set of headlights, so I can take my time in making my own projector lights.

I just scored a pair of these at work today, saved them from the core bin, Thinking they have some potential for a projector project of my own.

TAKE YOUR TIME. Getting the aim right is the biggest problem. After you have the projector mounted then work on the finish bezel.
