Looks awesome! I love your tails and key hole too.

What did you do to your fogs to get them yellow?

whiterider00
10-31-2010, 06:28 PM
for the lights i used this yellow tint spray, similar to nightshades, but yellow. forget where i got it, maybe online a while ago.

thanks for all the comments.

thanks. unfortunately it looks a lot worse in person. the cell phone camera does a good job disguising blemishes. and i dont have any pics of getting it molded on. i actually just used the seam sealer/adhesive that came with the kit to attach it, to smooth out the ledge where it mounts. its held up so far, but this winter will be the real test.

Seeing this finished makes it hard to decide whether I want to get the razzi kit or an OSV(if still available) when I have the money.

Ttop191

buy kyle's OSV, you get a kit, and he gets rid of it, why not help two people at once?

I'd love to, problem is I'm in college, and while I have enough money to buy it, I can't really justify spending my saved up college money on a body kit. If any decent jobs open up in town, I'll start saving for it, but things aren't looking good right now.

looks awsome.....i always thought with the amount of defined lines on both the front and rear bumpers, grand am ribbed doors would really flow with this kit and tie it all together very nicley.

is the back bumper off a bit, sitting lower on the left then the right?

i think its just how i did the exhaust. the drivers side tip sits a little higher than the pass side.

the kit was just over $400 shipped from ebay. here it is (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Unpainted-2000-2004-Olds-Alero-Ground-Effect-Kit-/370217768714?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &hash=item5632b2d70a). i had nothing but problems installing it tho. if you plan on molding it on completely, then its worth it because i had to cut a ton of plastic to get it to even kinda fit. side skirts fit like shit too. everything is supposed to fit over all the stock parts, but they are about the same dimensions. so ive got side skirts that kind of bow out where theyre mounted, and are starting to split. and bumper covers that i had to hack off the whole mounting tab on both sides to get it over the stock bumpers. ill get some pics of all the crappy stuff at some point, just to show everyone its not perfect. thank you for all the compliments tho.

so i just spent about an hour fixing all the little issues with the kit, and im a bit happier with it now. the only thing i dont like is how the front bumper does not line up with the side skirts. the sides sit about 4 inches from the ground right behind the front tire, but the bumper in front of the tire is about an inch higher. i found this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Universal-Front-Bumper-Lip-Splitter-Chin-Spoiler-Trim-/220674656933?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &hash=item33613c0aa5) on ebay, and figured it might give me that inch or so. itll match my flat black and white theme, i just dont know how good it will look.

whiterider00
11-03-2010, 01:09 AM
ya, that lip thing is just extruded foam rubber. probly cud b found at home depot.

ttop91, i thought so too before i put them on. then i did and changed my mind.

and clutch1, i used a spray gun. the car (doors, hood, all that) is filthy...really filthy. and the kit is bright and clean. so it may look like completely different colors. im wishing i washed it before i oput the kit on, but o well. itll all b dirty soon enough.

whiterider00

whiterider00
12-15-2010, 07:07 PM
Some cheap brand, exel i think. Forget the specific name but there was a 7 in it. They were painted silver but i sanded them down and sprayed them flat black.

BUT YOUR CAR IS SWEET!
I love that kit..its the 2nd best IMO, and I kinda wished I would have kept both kits...for two cars...anyways...on to the wheels...since you have a "whiteout" theme goin on, with no chrome in sight, I would go with some white5 or 6 spoke dish wheels, of have those powdercoated..i love the razzi ground effects.

I do wish it was a bit lower, but it wud get wrecked with the way the roads r around here. Plus only way to go lower is air or cut springs.

dammm stop bagging on the ride, this is how HE wanted it. the car isn't for YOU. appreeciate the work he put in the car to make it his own. IMO all of it looks great dude. the black rims also look really cool. it brings out the white of the car. does that spoiler come with the razzi kit? i like that alot too.

03Sleepr
01-24-2011, 11:23 PM
yea..listen to Mr.Greenrims..only joking, I like how your car is right now. tinted windows and a farther drop and it would be perfect

whiterider00
01-25-2011, 01:31 AM
ya, plan on tint when i can afford it. also plan on getting sideskirts from a gagt (the ones that go up the side of the car), and trimming them to match the top edge of the razzi kit. kinda keep the line going around the car. plus itll cover up some rust i have poking thru on the bottom of the rear 1/4.

and bluelego, yes, its the razzi spoiler. thanks for the comments.

03Sleepr
01-25-2011, 01:38 AM
basically sounds like what I want to do with mine, but mines maroon. and someday I want bags because I don't want to cut my springs and it NEEDS to be lower, or at least raked.

edit: you should get a black olds emblem from nate for the front, it would look really good IMO

Ttop191
01-25-2011, 01:45 AM
^ what ever you do DONT cut your springs, and if you want a rake, you really need to do a RWD conversion to make it legit..

there.

i have no idea y it fit that bad. it was a genuine razzi kit. the ebay store i bought it from had a surplus of kits they had gotten from the mfg, so its not like it was some knockoff kit. i dont think ive ever seen a knockoff kit of the razzi either.
