I have intermittent starting issues. Every once in a while the car turns over but just doesn't seem to start. I turn the key off and start it and its fine or sometimes it takes a few tries. Any thoughts? Throttle position sensor or fuel pump?

Catch it when it isn't starting and check the spark, fuel pressure, and injector pulse.

See where that gets you for starters.

Is your SECURITY light on?, if it is then you have a faulty passlock system which usually means you have to replace the ignition cylinder, but I doubt you want to pay $500 for an new one so heres how to bypass it.

use this one to determine youre resistor value, wire coding is same as in glovebox

bypass it using these instructions as it is much easier to work with the glovebox pulled out rather than behind the radio

I would also check your fuel pump wire connector located next to the passanger side rear wheel underneath the car, if the pins are dirty clean them, that and the faulty passlock system were the two main contributors to my car not starting.

If youre SECURITY light is on leave the ignition on on for 10 mins until the light goes out, shut it off for ten seconds than start youre car.

The passlock systems cuts power to the fuel system in your car, which is why it urns over but does not start.

Well I replaced the fuel pump and the filter, seems to be better. I had the car shut off when I was backing up this morning though, not sure what that is!
