Car is filthy...was 50 mi in the middle of nowhere down a dirt road during install..overall I'm happy with the drop, it handles much better than stock...Tested on wet/freezing winding mountian roads with no speed limit and no traffic :smokin:

Now in dire need of some new rims

same setup as me. only thing i dont like is how the front isnt quite as low as the back. been on my car for over 2 years now, and it still sits that way. not much settling happened. handling kicks ass over stock tho.

Im upset to hear this..I was really hoping the front would settle down and give the same tuck the rears do:(

ya, bugs me a bit too. could always cut off a dead coil on the front springs...

Careful doing that cause you could ruin the springs' temper

i wasnt really serious. if its possible to do tho with out ruining the springs or endangering any other part of the suspension, i may give it a shot. i hate how my front sits like 3/4 of an inch higher than the rear.

I don't know of any way to cut spring steel except oxy-fuel or plasma, either of which will ruin the temper.

If you were really adventurous you could try moving the spring seat on the strut down an inch.

do they make hacksaw blades strong enough? There is someone on GAGT that cut his and SAYS its fine (didnt mention how)...but I'm not sure I would want to risk ruining brand new springs...But I love the way his sits...Right now I'm looking at a set of 18" black Boss 328's

Sorry to go off topic, but you might think twice about Boss wheels. I've had 2friends get random cracks in their boss wheels in the past 3 months. Both say nothing happened to cause a wheel to crack. One set were 18's and the others were 22's.

Car looks much better BTW:cool:

thanks slownlow, I'll probably look into some other wheels since the roads are a bit rough here

No, you can't cut spring steel with a steel blade, it will just waste a lot of your energy and eventually ruin the blade, whether it's a saw, or a shear, and if it's a shear, you're liable to send thick pieces of high strength steel flying through the air at lethal velocities when the blade snaps.

03Sleepr

I got them from ebay, but you can find them cheaper than retail everywhere on the internet...just keep an eye out for ebay sales but be careful about what you buy..mine were 89 shipped

Cut my dead coil with a cutting wheel on a grinder. Took all of 20secs. Did wrap the spring in a ice cold rag right by where I was cutting

that rock in the background is the only thing keeping Mt.Sunflower from being bigger that Mt.Everest..I bet if you moved the rock it would spring up..then maybe some people would actually WANT to come to Kansas..

Made me think of the lion water fountain at story book land in Aberdeen, I loved that place as a kid. Bumper boats FTW.

Not true. KCK has Schlitterbahn and the Seepdway now (if you're into that sort of thing) World's of Fun just isn't what it used to be :(

P.S. My sister-in-law lives in Towanda. I'll be keeping an eye out for your car next time I'm getting off the turnpike.
