Do i have to take apart my door to get to the window switches and the door lock switches. I want to paint them

You can just take out the two screws below the handle and then its just metal clips holding it in. Use something narrow like a flat screwdriver to push in the clips (4 total) as you pull up and it will come right out.

so i HAVE TO unscrew the two screws on the door, correct?

I thought you had to remove the whole door panel to unclip and remove the switches.

Yes, they hold the bottom of the trim piece in.

It can be done without pulling the whole door panel, I've done it a couple of times. There is one metal clip per side of the trim piece, all about the middle of each side. Go top, inside, bottom, then the outside clip shouldn't catch at all and it will come right out. This does require some mild prying, so be careful.
If you do decide to pull the whole panel off, there is a third screw behind the red reflector, and all that is left is a bunch of plastic clips.

I feel that it would be much easier to just take the whole door panel off and work on it that way.
