Does anyone know of a good cleaner I could use for the top of my engine block to make it look a little newer? Just wanna make it look half-way decent for Sept 19. ;)

If its greasy try engine degreaser with high power spray at the car wash if not then scrub with some soap and water. maybe thats what I do. :smokin:

i heard "grease lightning" or something like that works really good, you can get it at murry's auto store

I just got a bottle of "Spray9" on the advice of a friend who cleans his car motors with it. Haven't tried it yet though, i will let you know this week

i use carborator (not sure if its spelled right) cleaner on my engine. Eats that grease and oil off very good!

i use a detailing company out here in chicago
and i use there engine degreaser and for the undercarriage
:thumbsup: if there are any detailing companies out by you ask them what they use and what company for there supplies
i asked a friend of mine and he hooked me up with this place here

Ditto. What bdyman does is the best option though. I'm not exactly sure what the detailing places do, but I think it involves steam cleaning.

if your gonna pressure wash anything in yoru engine, watch out for yoru heat shields! tore mine to shreds :(
