I've saw a picture online of an Alero throwing sparks on an interstate or something. It was on Google images. I've looked for a couple hours now and can't remember what I searched to find it. Can I get a little help? Lol.

Lolol. I kinda do think it's pretty cool. But only if there is a special plate or something that is creating the sparks. If it's the actual frame dragging, that's retarded. Lol. But still looks Great. (: if someone finds that link to that video it'd be awesome.

there are very few n-bodies that are quick, and yours isnt one of them.
fixed, there isn't a single n-body that is fast IMO
that 10second GA isnt fast enough for you?
kwhauck
01-04-2011, 11:31 AM
I don't know of a 10 second GA......
and tube framed RWD vehicles with some grand am body parts, does not count......
Ttop191
01-04-2011, 11:34 AM
^ atleast one that isn't simply a shell of a car
No "true" N-body has actually done under 12 probably...all have tube frames, or beastly engine swaps
i recall seeing a video of a black GA with slicks running just around 10seconds, thought it was a milzy prototype or something IIRC.
kwhauck
01-04-2011, 11:59 AM
Milzy race car has only run a 12.1 as far as I know.....and only a 12.3 is slip/video proven.....

lol. definitely not trying to start an argument! lol. Just think if youre gonna do it, you should use the blocks or the bars, NOT THE FRAME! lol. Seems like using the frame would lead to your car falling apart. But the blocks, eh, highly doubt thatd hurt. I guess the video looked a little dumb because they were going hella slow and just going back and forth. lol. Seems like it be sick just to be on the interstate dragging with some speed to throw the sparks farther behind you. but yeh, i think it looks pretty sick.
FranktheTank, if thats your truck, i love it. i even have a picture of it saved on my ipad. Sickkkk. And does Redog really have thousands of dollars invested in his engine???

Do have on a DVD a ga dragging had painted over lights an was primer and orange I think
JoshGentry

@hok666. The first video was sick. That's exactly how I'd wanna drag if I was doing it. The second video was throwin a little too wide for my taste. I'd love to try that but I ride with no pressure in my bags a lot. Like 90 percent of the time I'm slammed. I don't wanna throw sparks every time. Lol.

I remember richies car before it was even the baby blue primer. was always one of my favorites.
Haven't been on here in awhile, but what ever happened to silent's car?

Some kid from chicago bought it and brought it back to a decent state from the hacked pile it was before. Now he is trying to sell it.

I truly pray that the "bars" you are referring to aren't the 2 or 4 link bars. IMO the safest, most responsible way to drag is a plated frame. After seeing pics of a drag block go through a windshield, plating seems to be the best way. Again, IMO
Oh, and you want drag footage? Here you go. I witnessed most of this dragging here in KC. :coolio:

If you're serious about wanting to bag your truck PM me. A damn good friend of mine is puting a KP 6-link on his OBS and he's looking to sell his old rear setup, rear end and all. He'd probably sell it for fairly cheap too.

like I said, I'd really love to but money is extremely tight right now..but sometime in the near future I'm going to start saving for it..if I can ever stop pouring money into the engine..

Now you are offending more than one person.
Does it matter? So we're allowed to offend one person, but not alot of people? Why is redog allowed to bash frank, but frank can't bash back? Its all their opinions.
I agree with frank that heavily modding our cars is a horrible financial investment. But I can defend that very same statement in the fact that we all have a hobby or two that have zero financial returns to it. We do it because it makes us happy. (at least for a time)
I think minitrucks are pointless... but I can admire the time and work put into it. His truck looks pretty sweet... I'd never own one. Don't see a point... but he likes it. So be it. How is this different from him expressing his opinion about aleros?
And redog, I find it laughable that you say Frank is an internet stalker for you. You troll most of my posts, and even started on facebook before I deleted your comments. Look at the pot calling the kettle black.

lol..... maybe its for the best ;)
Anyways..... do those "drag plates" usually get welded to the frame? Prolly a dumb question cause it seems like that would be the best/most durable option but i was wondering if people bolt them to the frame too?
