OK all the other regions are getting meets together and are being very successful.

The following are days Aug 29 and Sep 12 are points days but Oct 31 is a Summit day which will have a lot of vendors and national NHRA drag cars.

Sept 11 is Street wars 3, which is a really fun Import vs Domestic day and the cars are classed per brackets:

15 and slower
14 to 14.99
13 to 13.99
12 to 12.99
11 and faster

If it doesn't rain any of these days it's a go.

hey id definately be down for a meet especially that close to my house. I just need a lot of advanced notice as my work schedule varies.

BAHAHHAAHAH. Sorry, I thought that was funny. Chicago maybe, not here.

Although, I did find 2 other Alero's in the same color as mine, which is really really rare. Ones a GX sedan with nasty aftermarket wheels (16's I think), and the other is a GL on 15" Aluminum wheels.

Sept. 5th is also a Points Race. The printed schedules screwed that up but it should be on-line and in the Raceway News correctly.

I will be there on the 29th, 5th, and 12th. I might come down on the 28th, too, to get in some practice for the next day. With any luck, I'll also be in Delmar, MD racing in the Bracket Finals for Team RP 9/30-10/3.

Don't know yet about me and Halloween. And 9/11 is the Rutgers Homecoming Football Game.

As for the other regions, when college football and basketball aren't in session there's nothing else for them to do there except watch tumbleweeds blow by or bugs get lit up in the bugzappers, so they have meets (where they watch tumbleweeds blow by and bugs get zapped). :thumbsup:

Well I'll be there on Aug 29th, Sept 12, for points. I'm so far down in points anyway, it really doesn't matter. Next year will be different :thumbsup:

Linda and I have already made plans for racing at RP next year so I should be comming to all points days next year. BTW when does points start, about? I know they opened in February this year, which is early.

Anyway so far the list is

If it's sockets I'll bet on 15mm

It seems to be that just about everything in the car is one of the following

7mm, 10mm, 13mm, 14mm, or 15mm

10's and 13's are the most common

Easiest way to find us is by starting at the gas pumps and driving down the pump lane towards the finish line. We should be 1-2 sections down. That's where we usually park.

Found out last night that the Parsons aren't going to be racing so we won't have the shade of the trailer this time. And Corey said she won't come down if it is as hot today as it was yesterday. It is supposed to rain in the afternoon which should take some fo the heat and humidity away (I hope). Then again, it wasn't supposed to rain yesterday evening but it poured to the point where I couldn't see the car in front of me on Rt. 78.

Took my car down to RP last night for some shakedown runs as it's been over a month since our last points race. The car felt really good driving down there but I guess I never got her cooled off enough as she ran like absolute crap! Was running .2 seconds slower than normal in that weather. Got 2 time shots before Real Street eliminations. 2nd run was another .11 slower than the first but my mph went up, though I think that was due to spinning slightly coming off the line. 1st round of elims I accidentally bumped in once too many times in Deep staging and ended up going red. Car ran another .11 slower but I think I let off momentarily when I saw the red light come on and punched my steering wheel. Still, the mph went up again! (go figure :rolleyes:).

Sorry, Ken, about getting so bent yesterday. It's just because I had THE chance to take back 2nd place and would have won if I had only hit the brakes sooner or harder against Hedenberg in the 1st round.

MATH QUIZ: What's the difference between 2nd and 6th place?

ANSWER: 0.014 seconds.

I break out by .014 because I didn't hit the brakes hard enough and end up not only blowing a chance to move back into 2nd place but then also drop all the way down to 6th place. :pissed:

With only 2 more race days left it is extremely critical that I get to the semis next Sunday in order to have a shot at reclaiming one of the 4 spots on the roster for the Bracket Finals (top 4 spots in the Street standings) and the bonus year-end money.

Every chance I had to move closer to 1st place I ended up shooting myself in the foot. Yesterday was no exception. John and I are on par in terms of overall racing abilities - I have slightly better skill and he has a slightly more consistent car - but altogether we're pretty close. I wouldn't mind losing to him on any other day or circumstance but this time, on this day, with so much on the line for me, and me blowing the win, that was too much. :angry:

Some days I can pull nothing but .06's and .08's and go all the way to the semis. But then other days I run .010 and .026 lights and can't get passed first round. WTF? :huh:

You and Corey should feel good about what you accomplished yesterday. I owe her an email about it, too.

Like I said yesterday I feel bad about what happened to you, but at the same time I'm really happy for me

IN points, I made it to the 2nd round, (or made it past the first round :P )

Still kinda kicking myself about the way I lost. If I remember to turn off my fan switch, I could have won. I bought new drill bits today and will finish up that job next week ;)

It's Street Wars 3.

They do have a EVO/STI shoot out but that is just one of the events. All cars can race.

Looks like it will be sunny on Saturday. I'm waiting until Sept 8th to ask for the day off

its roughly an 8 hour drive from here. wait a sec, i just looked at the calendar on my phone. is october 31st a sunday? if so i wont be able to make it. i have to be back here by 0620 monday morning. dang, maybe some other time.

Not 100% sure yet about tomorrow (scheduling issues) but I am definitely racing Sunday (like I actually have a choice). If I'm not working at the zoo on 10/31, I'll try to be at the track then. And count me in as a definite for Street Wars #4 on 11/14!
