the guy is giving me the option to have it coated with a high heat coating, its an additional 90 bucks, do you guys think that's worth it?

if it's ceramic coating, yes. The plain pacesetter header is prone to rusting from what I have read on other sites. Also consider replacing the 'ball joint' with a flex pipe.

why replace the ball joint w/ a flexpipe? When installed and tightened down correctly the ball joint does not leak. IF it leaks, the problem is usually found w/ the installer... It's unecessary in all due honesty.

Why would I say this? I've had the pacesetter header on my car. I've encountered the problem with the balljoint creating an exhaust leak. I thought it was because of a poopty product and instead it was just that it simply became loose. What was the fix? I retightened the bolts mating the downpipe to the header. Viola, 10 minutes of my time.

Good product I'd buy it, if I was going a particular route.

umm I just ordered a fuel pressure regulator, and I don't exactly have the money for the coating right now, is it hard to get it coated after I have it? Or can I coat it myself to stop it from rusting?

It's times like this when I wish I had the 4 banger..... ;) The headers for the 6 are so friggin expensive <_<

I believe the header option you're referring to is powder-coated, and I'm pretty sure you can't do that yourself. ( I worked in a factory that made steel compressed-air sprayers, and they baked the powder-coat on. ) The powder coat option is REALLY durable, and most certainly worth the extra 90 greenbacks IMO.

the coating is ceramic you cannot powdercoat anything that
will get that hot it will burn right off.
