I have a 2000 alero with 16" alloys, does the 2002 alero has the same style rim and size with the 2000?

no their actually different slightly but overall the same ( the 2000 might be 15's they made 15's and 16's )

The reason why I asked this is because I'm swapping my rims (with the 2002 alero) and I'm getting rims and tires from a 2002 alero for free. Would it be worth it to swap my rims and tires for a 2002 alero rims and tires?

Never a bad thing having extra tires laying around. Get a flat you can roll with a good looking tire instead of a donut.

I don't necessarily think its worth just putting 02 rims on it. I rather just buy some nice looking rims instead.

All the rims are the same size from 99 to 04

The steelies and some 6 spokes (non polished) are 15's (I think the non polished spokes in 15's was only 2 years)

All the polished 6 spokes are the same size 16 x 6.5, the design is different from year to year thou

I don't think you guys understand of what situation I'm in. The current tires on my alero have at least 5% tread depth on it, and I don't have the money right now to buy new tires. I'm getting these 2002 rims for free so might as well put these on for the meantime and when I get enough money buy good 18" rims for my alero.

he is swapping his rims for 2002 rims and tires.

go for it your losing nothing and gaining free tires ( I like the newer rim look myself it even has the olds emblem in them with a actual emblem not just engraved ) specially if the tires are good and yours are shot like you said

The guy who I'm getting the tires from said that they're good and expensive tires he also said that it's a girl's car. Besides I need spare parts for my alero also. I'm assuming that a mechanic put those on for her, and you know how those mechanic's treat women lol.

What I meant to say is that the owner of that alero is a women. (I hope she isn't a bad driver lol) Aleros are not girl cars. Miata's are lol.

go for it... with free you can never go wrong... as you mentioned get these for now, and save up for your 18's... good score!!

you mentioned you were getting some parts off the car as well... does this mean you are getting the whole car for some parts, or just this person is parting the car out? Since I am close to you, I am interested to hear more... I need some parts too lol!!

Yes the car is parting out.But the car is in Hamilton, the engine blew and the person is scrapping it. But in order for the car to scrap it has to have the wheels on it (they get more money for aluminum rims). Since it's my dad's friend I'm getting all the parts for free, I don't know about anybody else. j/k.

Got the rims, they are 15's. The tires are practically brand new with WAY more tread than my previous wheels, they are Michelin Harmony 215/60/15 tires. Now all I need is 4 center caps. So all you alero owners watch out!
