I'm wondering if I'm going to be harassed by the cops for having my interior neons flashing with the music when I'm cruising around at night, they're blue in color and they light up the car really well. I don't think anyone will really confuse me for a ghost car, but I still don't want to be harassed about them. I'm primarily concerned with Alberta, Canada...Grande Prairie to be specific, if anyone has that sort of intimite knowledge of the area, it would be greatly appreciated.

so, legal? or should I keep my finger on the switch and try and make a good excuse?

In my town they will stop and ticket you with any kind of lights on or in your car unless your parked, boooty holes.

I'm pretty sure blue lights are illegal anywhere on a car. And I am very sure that at least in Cali, even having the lights installed on your car is illegal even if they are not being used.... I have a friend that got a ticket for that.

sunday thats not true........ive heard all kinds of rumors about whats legal here.......the inside they wont bug you that much as long as it isnt A LOT of neon and you cant see the tubes.........and you are right they hate blue i know this for sure.......and they cant give you a ticket for just having them installed.......ive talked to many cops about it, once they pull me over......some have said, white, green and colors like that are ok but no blue or red.......some have said you cant have them on driving period.......but they have all said its legal as long as you are parked.........

sorry to steer off topic but cwm if you have a lot of lights yes they are going to bug you especially if they are blue and especially if they are going to be pulsing......

well....i have blue neons in my car and it helps if you have a sun roof cuz it lets some light in so its not so noticable....
ive drove right past cops......no problem....
i dont no....i dont no how bright it is compared to everyone elses....
ive got 2 10" streetglows and 1 12" (the other one broke)... and 2 LED's
so....i dont no i would say if they are looking for it, it would be a little different...
i would say if your worried about it....drive in well lite areas....

i live in a town of 5000 and they arent bastards or anything unless you f*** around constantly.....
i say just dont worry about it....
the cop should be nice enough to say that this is a warning etc.

they don't like blue eh? crap...that's my favourite colour, and they look totally pimp in my car :pissed:

I've kind of got a whole blue theme going, and its centered around my deck, which has a blue LCD in it...I COULD go with green (to match the exterior of my car), but then it wouldn't go with my deck nearly as well <_<

well...I guess I'll just keep rolling with them on, and tempt fate a bit :D

so...any ideas for good excuses in case I get busted? ;)

I've got lots of blue neon in my car and I've never been stopped for it, I've had it for a couple of years now. It's the blue lights on the outside that seems to cause cops to lose control of their bladder.

hmmmm...now all I need to do is figure out how to get my audio controller to flash to the bass rather than the higher end audio waves without remounting the damn control unit :pissed:
