well when I clicked the link it shows infinity and their not alpines so I dunno.

I own alpine type s in my front doors and I find their ok, but you need good rear speakers to go with them too

I've put in some infinity kappas before.. sound good on an amp.

What are you looking to accomplish by replacing the speakers, anywho?? Louder or better sound?

Honestly I'd grab some wood and make some brakets for a pair of 5 1/4s... components would be best. Amp them if you're feeling surly... since you already have wiring for an amp in the trunk.

I bought the Fosgate T1 5.25"s. The basket was too wide for the hole so I had to create a little gap with some spare mdf.

As far as the Kappa's, they're just general replacement speakers. As far as helping you, Clutch was spot on asking for goals. Yeah the sub stage can cover SOME mid-bass. But we don't know if you are just looking to step up from stock, basic replacements, boosting your current vocals, willing to amplifier them, prior experience and willingness to fabricate up a general bracket, etc.

For that price, you could look other routes if you just want to run them off of the head units 15 or 16 watts. It'd just be wasting some potential. If you are amplifying them though, you'll want to run some new wire through the door grommet while you have the door panel off... Lots of options... lol

Really didnt plan on amplifying them, just running stright off deck. Honestly, main point was just to say i dont have stock speakers, but if yall honestly dont think it will make much of a difference, let me know.

Just go with some Pioneer 4x6 up front and run some Pioneer 6x9 in the rear. with a 12" sub and it will sound pristine! thats what i got. and a Pioneer deck. i like to keep it matching.

run the alpines, their quite clear but ull need to run a speaker amp to be honest with you. running it off a deck they will eventually distort just like the rear speakers will

Don't take this post as me being a fanboy of any sort. I've ran the Alpine Type-S, Powerbass, Sony, Memphis entry level, and my Fosgate powers. And from them all, the Fosgate Powers obviously took the cake. (If that's an expression?) But regardless, my friend drives a Grand Am, and I had him order these for drop-ins. For the price tag, and the odds of you ever amplifiying them, I'd stick with these.

I am currently running 400watts rms to my speakers alone, and i'd have a hard time going back to head unit power. BUT, amplifying them comes with a price tag. To buy an amplifier even worth using to amplifiy anything is gonna cost you around $150.00, knowing where to look. Regardless, I liked the way these Punches sounded off of head unit power. And would recommend them to anyone. And for $50.00 and responding the way they do to the little power they were seeing, they would be my pick.
