Well... It was between Lightening Audio, DC Audio, and something from the XPlod line. Hopefully I don't regret my decision when the build's finished.

sony xplod series is terrible sony should have just stayed with home audio. That DC audio amp is sweet how many ohms are u going to run it.

Haha thanks man. I won't have the $450.00 to drop on the Mechman Alt. I want anytime soon, so for now, I'll be running 3 to 4 group 31 batteries. Because of this, I'm just gonna run at 1-ohm. Typically I would drop to .5 or .7 to compensate for whatever impedance rise I may have in trying to squeeze the amps full potential. But in this case, i'm gonna use my head and recognize that I am going to have some voltage drop, and not let it get to the point of dropping to 11 volts and clip my equipment.

The subs are 98% decided at this point. My goal is to have the loudest daily driven ground-pounding Alero that I know of. At least on the site would be nice. lol I am aware that a few members here have done 150's etc, but not below 35Hz that I am again aware of. Props to them for sure, but if I wanted a 150, I could do an spl build and get it. But for a daily car that I drive to class everyday, doing a 146-148ish at 30-34Hz, I like that. :)

I have the materials, just have to apply them!

I've used a cheap lightning audio amp, and it worked just fine. :) Also used their sub for my corolla. Sounded pretty good for the money.

:O i was lookin at that amp!!! fuck lol beat me too it!!! im so excited for summer i wanna get this thing metered!!!! and then rip it all out and put in my wall :D

but i beat you to the mechman ;) its amazing while driving but the idle is poor!! even tho i got the overdrive pully youll need to tune the pcm to raise your idle to 750rpm not 660 grrrrr lol

but cant wait to see this baby in action!!!! videos mofo!!
