No, the gold package was available many years... You can see the breakdown of your specific vehicle through the VIN decoder at http://www.compnine.com/
My car being a 5-speed coupe is less common than a Final 500.

Intresting numbers on that site. My car is 1 of only 470 AUBURN NIGHTMIST METALLIC Coupes for that year. Pretty rare Im guessing. And 1 0f 3000 with gold badges.
Any clue to complete numbers for the production life from 99-2004?

my car is kinda rare I have a 1999 auburn mist metallic
There are 4 1999 ALERO GL SED 4 DR vehicles (0.002%) matching your exact options list. There are 6 (0.003%) with at least as many options.
i can not believe that there are only 4 cars like mine.

Actually, it's 470 of your trim level (GX,GL or GLS) coupe. It's broken into 6 distinct models for each GX GL or GLS and whether or not it's a coupe or sedan.

That site is really cool. Now I know my cars birthday so I can buy her a present. Turns out my car is 1 of 1. I knew there was something special about her.

You have to figure that there's specific things below the surface that are used to calculate rarity. Like if it was federal or cali emissions, did it come with a front plate bracket, was it a stock order, etc...
Picking a car with limited options (like in the link) makes it less rare in that respect.
