Easy question or a big problem. I was doing my billet mount install and there was a extra coolant line that dipped down into the engine compartment, but did not connect to anything. It was cleanly cut, I imagine it is some kind of overflow or bleed off line?

If anyone knows alero anatomy better than me, the info would be greatly appreciated.

Thread Jacking Time!!

Anyone know why they built out coolant reservoir to be virtually unreadable?

Opaque. Giant seam where fluid line normally is. Apparently a dirt/dust magnet. No clear "line" to gauge fill level...

Idiots.

Ditto on that.

My overflow goes to a water bottle. Until I fix my coolant leak at the water outlet, it'll suck in air and if I do high throttle stuff it'll spit mah coolant out. And then I can put it right back in instead of waste it on the ground lol.

When the bottles are new, you can see thru them, it's after they age a little bit they become VERY hard to see thru.

I was actually thinking about installing an LED strip under or next to the bottle. When I shine a flashlite on it, it makes it MUCH easier to read, so I've been giving the LED thing some serious thought

Thanks for the tip. I would image that it might work better if you could somewho get the light behind the tank (if that's even possible).

Take any of those. Drill two small holes to run the wires (fill with silicone to prevent leaks) and use silicone sealer to hold them in place either on the top of the tank, or on the sides shining down...

problem solved.

I wouldn't put a hole in the tank...couldn't the pressure blow the seal...just running them under the tank is what I was thinking.
