Whats up everybody? Didnt know anything about aleros until I got one, but I like it so I figured I would like to hook mine up. I own an 03 Alero GL with the 2.2L engine but cant find much for it and was wondering if anybody could give me info. As of right now all I got is Flowmaster 80 series. But want more power for a little less price than a turbo or supercharger. And does anyone know if the intakes and other mods for the ecotec sunfire or cavalier fit my car? Thanks for any info.

some fit, some are modified to fit... you should find everything you need in the 2.2 eco forums ( i dont have an eco myself) but there are plenty of people here that can help you out.

olny posting here cause i'm to lazy to post in the eco forum but go to your nearset chevy dealer they have a book for eco perfomance parts in the parts department. I don't have the number qavailble but I sold a few of hte books to my customers. They are for the cavalier but a lot of the items will work on the 'ho

GM is coming out with a supercharger kit for the 2.2L ECOTEC sometime next year. If you don't want to wait that long and want another good kit that includes everything you need, Hahn Racecraft has a turbo kit for the ECOTEC as well that puts out something like 230HP..

here's a fairly extensive list of mods for the ecotec
http://upgrades.aleromod.com/22_ectoc_performance.htm

If your looking for something less than the price of a t/c or s/c then nitrous might be for you. You'll still need to upgrade the engine if your looking for high levels of boost.

Does anyone know for a fact what a 2003 4 door alero with ecotec would run in the 1/8?

and does anyone know how big of a difference times would be with a 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic? i've heard not very different with the ecotec.

.2 or .3 diff depending on the driver, there might be the odd .4 diff depending on which track altitude, etc etc...

The more mods done to the 4-speed and 5-speed cars< the bigger the gap would probably get......if the driver knows what they're doing

^ Isn't that the roughly the stock times? How much time would be shaven off with those mods?
