programing questions for you computer smart people

iv posted before how a chevy venture van as more hp then an alero does and it appear to all be in the tune of things. i work at a chevy dealer and have access to tis2web and SPS programing. what do you think would happen if i told the computer i had a venture van by writing the venture van vin into my aleros comp? do you think i would have some security issues? would it be reversible if i did?
