as i have been told before when i asked the same thing.. the FE2 struts are for the 4cyl and the FE3 are for the V6. FE2 are softer more cushion over bumps. FE3 are stiffer more rigid handling.

how about springs? we replaced struts and springs from an FE2 4dr this morning and i grabbed them for spare parts. mainly strut tops. does that also mean that no 4cly cars had FE3 sport suspension?

FE2/3 are the sway bar differences... not struts.

FE2 and FE3 encompass several things:
1. FE2 cars use a hollow 24mm front swaybar; FE3 cars have a solid 24mm front swaybar.
2. FE3 dampers (struts) have slightly firmer valving for a sportier ride.
3. FE3 cars have slightly firmer bushings in various suspension components.
