So I know the pink wire should be grounded to the hand brake legally, but if I were to hypothetically want it to play constantly, I need to ground the pink wire. Can I ground it/connect to the black ground wire itself when I hook it all up and it would be the same a grounding it to the car itself?

you could connect it to the ground, or screw it right to the chassis it'll accomplish the same thing

nah, i believe in the new players they have that wire made to hook in to the brake so it can only play when the car is not in motion. hence the pink wire into the hand brake

yes I want the option of having it play while I drive or parked without pulling the handbrake and for my lil nephews to watch while with me. The pink wire can be grounded to "bypass" this. yes I know I will get shit for this.

depends on the dvd player but some need a switch so that you can engage it cause they got smart over the years example alpine you need a positive brake lead and a negitive hand brake lead.. still a little thought and it will work

try connecting strait to ground if it wont work then add a switch and when you start it cycle the switch and youll have video

That's illegal, just get a ipod touch or some other personal handheld for your little nephews to watch or a back seat TV.
