Did a water pump back around 128,xxx or so, and just at 130,000 I did both the upper and lower hoses.

A few LIMG jobs but I had the head gasket done last year in July about 120,000 miles

2000 2.4L

my alero bought at 137k.

repairs done then since car was bought for $400,
one wheel bearing, one rear strut mount and rear sway bar bushings.

mileage now and repairs done.

152k

two wheel bearings in front, replaced abs harness on one side, quarter panels and some rockers, front pads and rotors new strut mounts all around except one, front sway bar links and one brake line.

I think thats everything I can't think of anything more that I needed to do to it. thankfully I can fix it all myself and it doesn't cost me a fortune

01 GL, 3400
Just rolled past 201,000 miles last week and immediately collapsed a lifter, to be repaired next weekend.

Other repairs since purchase in Feb, 2007 at 125,000 (in no particular order):
Driver window regulator and sashes, and passenger sashes (needs driver sashes again)
Upper Radiator hose
Alternator and belt
Battery twice
Front wheel bearings once each
Catalytic Converter
Exhaust Manifold Gaskets
All tie rods
Rack & Pinion (damaged seal while replacing inner tie rod)
Upstream O2 sensor
Upgraded Swaybars, front and rear
Brakes, front twice, rear once
Blower Motor
Fuel Pump (turned out to be intermittent connection in the relay box)
Disassembled relay box to fix that connection
Corroded grounds near fuse box...cleaned with emery cloth

Other things needing addressed soon:
Harmonic Balancer
Struts/springs/mounts (just a little rattling/knocking)

I may think of more later, but that's all I can remember right now.
All repairs done myself (much easier on the wallet), except welding up new cat. conv. (paid for with old cat. conv.)
LIMG was done shortly before I bought it. Other prior work is unknown.

I had my 01 2.4 grand am from Sept. 2002 to Sept 2010. Only had to do the waterpump. 32k-115k.

I got my 01 2.4 5-speed alero in Nov. 2010 with 109k now it's at 114k. Only thing i had to was coil packs. I swap the whole system over to a 2200 OHV coil pack setup. I need to oil the tracks in the pass. window. It sounds like it's working to hard. The driver side seem to have a newish regulator.

all the tie-rod ends, each on separate occasions

needs these replacements:
hub (which one, I don't know...both of em?)

Purchase at 160000 now around 1900000 no major repairs have ever been done. Most of the miles were highway, person I got it off had to do nothing other then regular mantinence and he had it from 400000-I got it. 03 2.2 spent a lot of time in Michigan in it's earlier days. I'm just waiting for things to start falling apart with the way I drive...
What iv done-alternator, got from a junk yard, need a new one AGAIN!
Will need soon-tranny flush, struts, and Shes starting to burn a little oil :(

99 GL bought in 06 with 115,xxx now has 189,xxx.

Replaced both window motors, have the belt running around the a/c compressor since its seized and hasn't worked since I got it. few other minor things, am now babying the crap out of it hoping itll last another year (or 2 :)). Just get the high mileage oil change. The oil change place says I should replace the fuel filter but its so rusted on they don't wanna touch it, so they give me some stuff to put in my gas tank which I need to put in when the tanks low. Anything you guys put in your fuel tank?

^use Lucas oil products, I know they have a few additives for fuel. Buy it at a reputable parts store though, not walmart. I highly reamend their tranny fluid, oil, and power steering fluid additives. They will defiantly give you a few more miles on your car from all my experience.
