transmission flush and filter caused signifcant power increase?

So I flushed my transmission today, replaced the filter and such...and when I got done, of course I took it for a drive...I was surprised ...I wouldn't know how to measure the difference or anything but my car has a lot more pickup now and it almost seems more powerful...I know this is an off the wall question but is this normal? There was a lot of crap in the filter and the fluid was not exactly clean, it probably had 107,000 miles on it...

If your tranny fluid was dirty that will definitely cut your power a lot. The new fluid will transmit power much better than the old crappy stuff.

Interesting, I flushed my fluid at 80k and after I noticed mushier and softer shifts. Same amount of power, just crappier shifts. Especially downshifts.
