Funny story...I was driving on the highway with no A/C and I thought to myself "man its hot in here" so I decided to open up the moon roof and the trim piece that overs the glass was jammed so when I pressed the button and the auto open feature was active, it dislodged the trim piece and sent it flying onto the highway..thank god no one was around because I would have felt like crap causing an accident because of that. Anyways, has anyone ever had to replace it before? I want to know if it's easy to come off/on if I were to go to the junk yard and pick one up.

Its the sliding piece that has to be moved back before opening the moon roof.

It pops out pretty easy, but with the sunroof open

You'll need a "jump box" since most junkyards remove the battery when they put the car in the yard

Or just take the battery out of his car and throw it in the junk one long enough to open the sunroof and get the part.

Crap Redog may be right. I'll have to go to the junk yard with some sort of power source to get the moon roof open to get the piece. I've realized that the trim piece isn't too important. I'd rather invest in general maintainance than getting the trim piece. Thanks Redog and Lucalare.... I now know what must be done.
