I used a heat gun to heat up the glue just enough to pull them off, then sanded the glass where the clips sit and epoxied the new clips in place with jb weld, havent had a problem in 2 years

I dont have a heat gun... I'm really thinking about doing the zip tie rigging that I have found. Im thinking that way It will still be sold but yet flexible enough I wont have to be replacing another pair of clips.

it might work as long as you epoxy the broken part along with the zipties, or just borrow a heat gun someone you know has got to have one

I put out the word to a few freinds im needing to borrow one. if i cant get ahold of one I'll just the the zip ties, i had already planned on the epoxy as well.

^the heat gun worked beautifully! took quite a bit of heat but they came right off. working at them with the knife was going to take forever. Thanks!

I was close but it wasn't going to be cheap so I thought I'd at least give it a shot. If I couldn't get a heat gun I was gonna have to though.

I mostly use mine for home improvment projects involving removing paint from wood.

I use mine for car audio. Like for shrink tubing when you soldering wires together and then using shrink tubing to make it look clean.
