I installed headers yesterday and where the headers meet the down piping was smoke coming out around it. that was yesterday but today i started her up and didnt see smoke i just saw like the heat waves you see above a grill. Is the waves normal or do i have a leak?

Thanks

Easiest way to check is to get your hand around it. Not on it, just close to it. If its leaking you'll know. May just have been a coating on the header that you saw burn off.

Yeah i put headers on mine too. The smoke is just the header coating or whatever burning off. Mine smoked for about 30 mins i think. Then went away. But i can still smell the headers. So the smoke is fine. Start it up once the motor is cold and hold your hand around everything and see if you feel air.

i agree about it sounding ricey. i was kind of dissapointed to be honest. But its what i got and i love the way it sounds cruising around 2k rpm. Work is tight because im working on buying rims but I will try and get a drive by within the next few days.
